About Who Is It That Sees You
"Who Is It That Sees You?" is a photography project about the constant reminder that we are being watched in every corner of our lives. It captures the unsettling feeling of being constantly monitored in public without knowing which set of eyes is on you at any one moment in time, whether through a lens or from the man sitting four rows behind you on public transportation.
In Britain, the average person is recorded 70 times a day by CCTV systems. Do some quick calculations, and that figures to 2,100 times per month you could expect to show up on video recordings in your area.
